Who makes Fitoutly
My name is Peter Laszlo. I am an interior architect and industrial designer in Hungary, and the owner of LaszloDesign Studio. For the past ten years my speciality has been commercial design — restaurants, boutique hotels, sports clubs with an atmosphere of their own, and premium private homes.
My clients want a beautiful interior — of course they do. But not only that: the space also has to resonate with their brand or with the way they live, and it has to solve their everyday problems. Spatial organisation, premium materials and ergonomics, worked out to the smallest detail: my job is to turn a vision into something you can stand in.
Ten-plus years in design and on site
A fit-out is a four-way balancing act. A client who is still deciding — option A on Monday, option B by Friday. A contractor who reads a drawing once and no document twice. A deadline that was never realistic to begin with. And technical content complex enough that nobody holds all of it in their head at once.
The designer sits in the middle of that, as de facto project manager — expected to keep every party informed, every change tracked and the quality uncompromised, and to somehow not fall apart doing it.
Ten years of this taught me where projects actually crack, and it is not at the drawing board. It is at the handover of information. The tap that was changed in a message nobody forwarded. The tile quantity taken from the option the client had already abandoned. The fitting that arrives on site matching an email from April, not the decision from May. The failure was never the design — it was who understood what, about which product, in which variant.
Why Fitoutly exists
I built Fitoutly inside my own practice, to survive my own projects. Room versions exist because a real client does not choose between A and B but often carries on to Z — and deserves to see every one of them properly. The covering calculators survive a pattern repeat because a real wall once did not. The export carries your own letterhead, in the language your reader speaks, because the document that leaves the office is the designer's — and it is judged as your work, not a software company's.
The goal is the same as it always was on site: get the project to the finish in the best quality it can reach — with the designer still standing.
We aim to answer your emails and enquiries as quickly as we can. Whoever replies knows both the trade and the code — they work under the same pressure you are writing about. The team grows day by day, and as it grows, the reply times get shorter.
